End-to-end design of a new health-tech App.

Heliosx operate a number of brands and ventures in medical, dermatology, and nutritional supplement sectors. I was brought onboard to design the MVP of a new weight tracking App, Levity. Working closely with the founder and Head of Product from early discovery phase, competitor research and heuristic analysis all the way through to final UI and full component library.

We kicked off the project with some initial stakeholder meetings to define the high level journeys and project requirements. I then moved these forward into a more detailed flow and lo-fi wireframes.

The research phase included a full competitor review. Key takeaways from this research were then used to build out requirements within the App.

Alongside the App I worked on the customer subscription sign up and dashboard which enables users to complete tasks in order to receive their first subscription dose and to start using the App. Part of the research phase was a heuristic analysis on the current customer journeys.

Following on from the research phase I began developing the initial wireframes

I conducted several user tests on the current web customer journeys and on some early concepts for both web and App.

Once the general content and features were defined in the wireframes I began several review sessions with key stakeholders to develop the designs and component library.

The designs were mapped out into the final end-to-end journey including all the various screen states, ready for engineering.

Project Outcome

An MVP of the Levity App was built, most of the features set out in the initial research and defined business goals were implemented. Some of the more complex features were moved forward into a v2 build. The App is set to launch in early 2025.
